Chandigarh February 8:

          The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested one more absconding accused agent Gaurav Arora, resident of Central Town, Jalandhar who colluded with Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI), Jalandhar Naresh Kaler in the vehicle fitness certificates scam. The VB has confiscated his mobile phone and SIM card which would be sent to data experts to gather more information about this scam.

With a view to implement new directions issued by the Punjab Water Regulation & Development Authority (PWRDA), Punjab Government has constituted the District Implementation Committees on Water Resources Department (DICWRD).

District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner Ms. Ashika Jain has directed the officers to speed up the process of linking voter card with Aadhaar card.
During a meeting with the district officers here today, she said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the work of linking voter card with Aadhaar card and the accountability of every officer will be ensured. She said that strict action will be taken against the officers and employees who will adopte casual approach toworld their duty.
