Chandigarh, March 6:

          In accordance with the promise of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led State Government to provide jobs to the youth, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Mr. Lal Chand Kataruchak today gave appointment letters to 10 newly recruited clerks in the Legal Meteorology wing at the Anaj Bhawan in Sector 39. The Minister exhorted the newly appointed candidates to work with utmost dedication and honesty.

          The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is constantly striving for the welfare of every section of the state. Working in this direction, Labour, Grievance Redressal, Investment Promotion, Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Hospitality Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that the state government has released Rs 9 crore to 3935 construction workers under various welfare schemes through the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

          The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Monday arrested an employee named Sonu, Nambardar, posted in Zone D, Municipal Corporation (MC) Ludhiana for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1,000.

The Rajya Sabha MP of the Aam Aadmi Party Raghav Chadha attacked the BJP-led government and said that the Modi government is constantly trying to shake the democratic foundation of the country by misusing government agencies. Whatever opposition parties see strong to the BJP, they send CBI-ED teams and puts their leaders in jail.

He said that today nine prominent personalities of the country have written a letter to the Prime Minister against the ED and CBI raids. Among those who wrote the letter are the four incumbent Chief Ministers, one Deputy Chief Minister and four former Chief Ministers of the different states.

          Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that an effort is being made to organise the Hola Mohalla Mahotsav at Sri Anandpur Sahib (District Ropar) from March 6th to 8th as a single-use plastic free (SUP free) and zero waste to landfill.

          Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Local Government Department is continuously striving to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution-free environment to the people of the state.

Chandigarh March 4 :

          The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Saturday nabbed an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Jagtar Singh, posted in police station, Talwandi Sabo,  Bathinda district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. He was earlier booked on an online complaint under prevention of corruption act for taking gratification of Rs 43,000 in 2020.
