Speaker Kultar Sandhwa handed over a check of 2 lakhs to the Punjab Gatka Association

Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwa handed over a check of Rs 2 lakh to the Punjab Gatka Association at his office in Chandigarh. It may be noted that in November last year, the Punjab Gatka Association organized a two-day 7th Punjab State Gatka Championship at Ratwara Sahib, New Chandigarh, which was inaugurated by Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwa. At that time, he announced giving Rs 2 lakh to the association. Sticking to his announcement, Sandhwa presented a check of Rs 2 lakh to Dr. Rajinder Singh Sohal, president of the association.

On this occasion, Speaker Kultar Sandhwa appreciated the efforts being made by the association regarding Gatka and said that Gatka is a priceless gift of our Gurus. This not only helps in keeping the kids away from drugs and connecting with 'Bani' but also helps in disciplining the players. He further said that under the able guidance of the Punjab Gatka Association, the future of children playing Gatka is also in safe hands.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajinder Singh Sohal, President of, the Punjab Gatka Association thanked Speaker Kultar Sandhwa for fulfilling his promise and said that his contribution to promoting Gatka and encouraging players is invaluable.

At the same time, the President of Gatka Federation of India Harcharan Singh Bhullar IPS, and General Secretary Baljinder Singh Toor also thanked the Speaker for this amount.

On this occasion, apart from Dr. Rajinder Singh Sohal, Davinder Singh Jugni, Vice President of the Punjab Gatka Association was also present with him.
